Overview

Information is data in context. In our backend systems, it is simply data. Nothing more than an endless sequence of zeroes and ones, stored on computer disks. But to our clients and our staff, these zeroes and ones are often highly valuable pieces of information, including contracts, settlement deeds, leases, purchase agreements etc.

It is critical to the firm’s operation, and indeed its reputation, that we take the matter of creating, receiving, storing, processing and disposing of information seriously.

This module will introduce key concepts to ensure the appropriate management of information is occurring at Gadens.

Learning Objectives
  • Understanding the importance of information governance.
  • Understanding information lifecycle management.
  • Understanding how to select and implement appropriate tools and procedures.
